Secret Angel

Secret Angel is one of my favorite paintings. It's kind of a self portrait. It's a painting I originally did back in 2001. I hated it so much because the proportions were really off. I didn't want to waste a good canvas so I got some white gusso and painted over it. Only, the outline of the character remained after I used the gusso 3 times! So, I took a mechanical pencil, redrew the character but fixed the proportions and repainted it. This is the result and I'm finally satisfied.

EDIT: I went to a printing/copying service and had my art scanned in at ultra high res. Here is a high resolution for your enjoyment. The photo I took with my camera was really good but still extremely blurry compared to this!
